New library app!
The Utica Public Library in partnership with the Suburban Library Cooperative is excited to announce the availability of their new intuitive mobile app, SLC Libraries Mobile. Available for iOS and Android, this app makes it easy to use the library even when you're not physically in the library.
SLC Libraries Mobile makes it easy to digitally browse the libraries’ collections, get details on items, make a selection, check out or place a hold for later pickup, and even renew items previously checked out. eBooks can be checked out too with the touch of a button. The app’s location finder also lets users find the location and operating hours of the nearest library location. Comprehensive account management is built in too, including the ability to place and renew holds, view/pay fines and fees, and for families, members can link together digital library cards to easily manage multiple accounts.
“The new SLC Libraries Mobile app provides our member libraries’ patrons with a new way to access their local library, and enhances their user experience by making it more convenient,” states Tammy Turgeon, Director, Suburban Library Cooperative.
“Patrons are able to read ebooks directly through the app or listen to audiobooks by downloading them or opening the Overdrive app,” says Chris Frezza, Head of Systems. “We are very excited to provide this new service for patrons that use mobile devices.”
