Welcome to the Utica Public Library

We welcome you to visit us in downtown Utica, Michigan during our normal business hours.

BOOK DISCUSSION JULY 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM

LOWCOUNTRY SUMMER by Dorothea Benton Frank

Books available at the library.

The Utica Library will be closed Thursday June 22 through Sunday June 25 during the City's Riverwalk/Bicentennial.

There will be carnival rides in the library parking lot, on Auburn Road, and in the city parking lot next door, making the library itself almost inaccessible.  Auburn Road will be closed.

We WILL be open Tuesday and Wednesday of that week; however, since the carnival and vendors will be setting up on those days, we're unsure of how accessible we will be.  Please be prepared for inconvenience.

No books owned by the Utica Library will fall due on dates we are closed; however, if you check out items from other libraries, even if you do so at the Utica Library, those due dates may fall on our closed dates.  Due dates follow the calendar of the owning library.  Our drop box will be open all hours we are closed, but once again, getting to us will be difficult.  You may wish to return your items at the Shelby or Sterling Heights libraries (or any public library in Macomb County).  Your Utica library card is honored at all of those libraries.

If you have holds, we suggest you pick them up as soon as possible.  If you cannot retrieve them before the closed dates, please call us (731-4141).  We can suspend your hold or send it to a library of your choice for pick-up.

If you need to renew your items while we're closed, please remember that you can do so online (a link to the catalog is provided below), or you may call another SLC library.  You must have your library card in hand if you call another library; staff will NOT look you up by name.

Since Monday is our usual closed date, the library will re-open Tuesday, June 27.

We are truly sorry for all the inconvenience and confusion this causes our patrons.
